The Glenlivet Spectra is a new limited-edition set containing a trio of mystery single malt Scotch whiskies with a spectrum of flavours that push the boundaries of traditional whiskey tasting.

Released without tasting notes, age or cask information, this trio of Scotch whiskies challenges the senses of Scotch lovers. Instead, Pernod Ricard invites consumers to explore a broad spectrum of flavours through an immersive tasting experience. Each of the three expressions is, of course, a reinterpretation of The Glenlivet’s signature smooth and fruit house style.
Technology Meets Tradition
Fans of the Original Speyside Single Malt are no doubt aware that The Glenlivet has always challenged conventions. Besides, The Glenlivet is also determined to open up the single malt category to a new generation of drinkers. So, in a world where people are spoon-fed information on an ever more frequent basis, and gamification is par for the course, the Glenlivet Spectra introduces a bespoke digital experience. A multi-sensory world awaits whiskey drinkers. A world where they explore their palate and personally interpret the elusive tasting notes of each expression.
In fact, scanning a QR code starts the gamified experience. Thereafter, cryptic hints challenge whiskey drinkers to put their tasting abilities to the test. In essence, they seek to determine what flavour profiles make each bottle unique. Finally, users receive a personalised scorecard showing how close they are to decoding each of the mysterious single malts.
